Kosta Boda Make Up Lipstick

Shake it up with Make Up! The Lipstick from Kosta Boda’s Make Up collection, first launched in 2008, is a pressed glass sculpture painted by hand. In its early days, the collection became a political and feministic statement as a mini version of Åsa Jungnelius’ art installation “I like your hairstyle!”.

Åsa Jungnelius (1975–) has designed many classics for the Swedish Kosta Boda glassworks. One of the most well-known series is Make Up from 2008. It consists of art and utility glass: Nail-polish bottles, dishes, lipsticks, bowls, candleholders, hotlips, shoes, and glasses. They were crafted by hand with strong colors and kitschy expressions.
